Answers You’re Looking For
Have a question? Want to know a bit more about our services and business? For your convenience, we’ve compiled a list of some of the most popular questions we’ve received from customers.
What is Gelcoat?
The majority of boat decks and hulls are made of fiberglass covered with gelcoat. Gelcoat is a scratch-resistant, color-pigmented, polyester resin. Over time normal wear and tear is to be expected. Proper care and maintenance of the gelcoat will keep your boat's luster and underlying fiberglass in good condition.
How long does your repair service take?
Time varies depending on the size and location of damage on the boat.
Most repairs can be completed and returned to you within a week or less.
Do you also repair fiberglass damage?
YES. In many cases, if the damage to your boat is deep it will also require fiberglass repair.
This will ensure the structural integrity and shape of your boat are restored properly and will last years to come.
How much can I expect to pay for my repairs?
Prices vary depending on the size, color, and location of repairs needed.
All repairs start at $400 and up. An estimate will be provided before any work is started on your boat.
Do you repair spiderweb cracks?
Yes. This will require both gelcoat and fiberglass repair.
In many cases, spiderweb cracks are a sign that damage is happening underneath the gelcoat.
The gelcoat will need to be ground back to reveal the extent of damages and repairs needed.
It's recommended that you take care of these cracks sooner than later to reduce the cost of repairs.
